Engineer Mike Callahan takes some time out to paint the old caboose for his company, Buckingham Branch Railroad (top photo).  I'm below restoring the handpainted lettering.

Gold Leaf windows

Every now and then I get to carry on some signpainter's traditions of the past. These are guilded windows in my favorite part of town next to the Orange Train Station.

Barber Shop sign

This was painted around 1996 or '97 and is still "hanging in there."

This sign was fun for me.

Even in shadow this sign presents itself well as the gold leaf does its job. 

Hand Painted Artwork on MDO sign

Lamp and shade were painted on this sign like a piece of art. Even today, with new printing technologies, often the old fashioned way is best.
